Show a little interest

Lately I've had the pleasure of meeting once again a very dear friend of mine in Brazil, who has been going through some rough times in his life. By talking to him, I identified various feelings I could really relate to, since I've had my share of depression in the past few years, of comparing myself to others and feeling like the worst piece of human flesh on the face of earth, of isolating myself, because it just hurt to have to admit I wasn't going forward in life. But most of these thoughts are based on lies we believe, on little impressions or simply deceptions that make our self-esteem crumble.

So, based on what he told me, on what I could relate to, on feelings I once had, that he has also been having, I decided to put some thoughts in paper and write this song. It's got a melody, chords and all already. I just need to have some time to sit down and record it properly. In the mean time, I've recorded a demonstration(a draft) of it. But don't mind the noise, the singing or the guitar sometimes out of tune.

This is for you, man! I'm praying for you and I love you! God will take you out of your misery, like he did to me. Just open up to him and let him work in your heart. You are so much more worth than you think. Take care...;-)
